The crew have explored Portugal's most south western point extensively to find the best waves on offer for what ever level you are. Daily we cruise the breathtaking south and west coastlines in 4WDs searching for the best conditions to suit your level of surfing ability.

We cater for all standards of surfer; we provide FREE daily lessons for those who wish. If you are a beginner or a ripper we will take you to the best waves to suit your standard and help you out.

APRIL 2008

I don´t know about you but EASTER being so early has really knocked out my body clock!! But looking on the bright side the marauding Spanish have been and gone and the price of flights outside of Bank holidays are gonna be a steal!!! So get on it like a vampire in a blood bank!!

We have had some of the most Epic South Coast Waves in MARCH that had all the pros and the respective photographers in the water showing us mere mortals how to surf 12ft heaving monsters. The insane catapult-like peaks off of the rocks made us have second thoughts as we joined the lightweight loser section and got our seats in the auditorium. Macca having second thoughts?? Yup it happened I was there!!

March into April has brought us anyone one from Aging Punks, Newsround Script writers ( I loved John Craven!!), a whole gaggle of Dr Fists, Pohms, Ozzie Crims, Hotties and Seppos. Every single one was given there own slice of tenderness cake.

Joel Gray was here again with his SurfSolutions posse of talented Kids and his lover Roger "Kenyan Feet" Sharpe. For three weeks we got up for 6.30am and attempted to surf waves that just turned off as soon as they arrived!!! We´ll send out a bulletin when this Voodoo lot show up again so you can go to the other side of the globe!! On the other hand after normally seeing the backside of 6am it is a great time of day to be getting up - how the hell people do it and then get into a train I´ll never understand!!!

So Summer is looming and how is the team looking, who will be stroking you in the dark this year?? 2 Tobys of course, young Jezzley ( who this year will be doing man on man analysis with video camera on certain days for a little extra), even younger Dangerous Dave. Big Oz is in Oz pursuing his dream in a TV Cooking show with Little Ozzie Tony for a little while so Danger will be taking over the BBQ details in the meantime with his lovely Assistant and Crack Queen, Georgie. Robalot will be ever present at the Airport with a smile, and finally father-of-one and Occy dead ringer, MACCA, will be mumbling Ozzie-isms with us throughout the year. Chicko Roll maayyyyyyttee!!

From the 1st May all boards will be stored just above the Church in a double garage so no more shuffling out of the house, the old room is going to become the new sinbin for offenders ~ we´ve had a few!!~

SO DON´T HOLD BACK WE WANT TO LOOK YOU IN THE EYES AND SAY WE LOVE YOU!!

To honour the Rats long and illustrious career, we're gonna launch another contest, so you could win a free week at the Surf Ex in October.
All you have to do is recant to us your best story of an encounter with Ratty (can be sexual, he was never shy), something you saw him do, or even heard about. Shouldn't be too hard to think of one as his entire life was an adventure. Could even be a photo of him.

It´s all happening here in the surfing epi-center of surfing, the Lagos surf house! We have had an incredible year so far. Great waves, Sunny and warm! Never has the food been better, the wine and beer tasted as good!

It is amazing what can happen to you! The change in some of our surfers is astounding!
A week or two with us can literally shape your life. We've seen stickmen become like Zeus himself, the average turn into Amazonion beauties, the stressed out wind down into chilled out Rastas.
